Show it instead of writing it
Some jobs are easier to show than to explain. Record your screen doing the task once and give the agent the video.
The agent listens to what you say and looks at the moments you click, type or pick something. Then it writes the steps.
Record the task once
Use any screen recorder and do the task the way you always do. Talk through it as you go.
- Go at your normal speed.
- Say each choice out loud, like “pick last month”.
- Finish the task so the video shows the end result.
Attach the file to a chat, or paste a YouTube link. Ask the agent to learn the steps so it can repeat them.
Check the steps it wrote
The agent writes the steps it saw, with notes drawn on the frames where each one happens. Read them like a checklist.
Fix anything that is wrong or missing, then ask it to save the steps as a skill. Every chat can use a skill.
Let it try
Ask the agent to follow the steps on new data while you watch its screen.
“Follow the export steps from the video, but for last month's failed payments.”
Correct it in plain words. If it does something differently than you would, say so and ask it to update the skill.
Update it when an app changes
Apps change. When a page looks different, the agent asks you in the chat instead of guessing.
Record the new step, or tell it what changed, and update the skill.
Do this next
A job you can show once is a job you can schedule. The next guide shows how.
