Agents click through your apps
Agents work in your apps the way a person does. They open a browser, log in and click the same buttons you do.
That means an agent can use almost any web app you use, including ones with no API.
Give it its own account
Create an account just for the agent. Invite it to the app the way you would invite a new hire.
- You choose exactly what it can see and do.
- Its actions show up under its own name.
- You can remove it without touching your own login.
If an app charges per seat, a shared login for the agent is fine too. Just keep it separate from yours.
Keep logins on the computer
Sign in on the computer's screen yourself. The login stays in that computer's Chrome, like a login on your laptop.
Every agent in your workspace uses that same computer. A login you add once works for all of them.
Connect an app
Click the rose on the New page, or type /connectors, and pick the app. Most connect in one click. Others need you to log in on the computer.
Start with less access
If the app lets you choose, give the agent read access first. Add more once you trust the results.
Check the first run
Watch the first job in a new app from start to finish. It is the quickest way to spot a missing permission.
“Open HubSpot, list the 10 newest contacts and tell me which fields are empty.”
Take access away
To remove an agent's access, remove its account in that app. It works the same way as removing a person.
Nothing else needs to change. The agent can no longer log in, and its other apps keep working.
Do this next
Your agent can reach your apps now. Next, teach it a task by showing it once.
